Nearly 30 FRV firefighters responded to a house fire in Werribee just after 6 am on Wednesday morning.
Multiple callers to Triple Zero (000) reported a single storey brick house immersed in flames.
FRV crews arrived on scene and wearing breathing apparatus attacked the blaze, bringing the fire under control by 6:35 am.
Firefighters remained at the scene to ensure the fire was completely extinguished and the site was safe as the house sustained significant damage from the fire.
At the height of the incident, there were 9 FRV appliances on scene, including five Pumpers, one Rescue Unit and one Aerial Unit.
Victoria Police also attended at the scene
