FRV Crews responded to an incident in Caulfield North early Tuesday morning after a caller to Triple Zero (000) reported a house fire.
28 firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find the rear of the home involved in fire, caused by an evaporative cooler.
The four occupants of the home were alerted to the fire by a working smoke alarm and evacuated safely.
Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters aggressively attacked the fire, bringing it under control at 2.07am
Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria were also on scene.
