FRV crews responded to a fire in Craigieburn following a call to Triple Zero (000) just before 2:50 pm.
Firefighters arrived to the Craigieburn Road scene to find a 10 m x 10 m shop fire and immediately escalated the response.
Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters from FRV and CFA attacked the blaze and contained the fire.
The shopping centre that the shop was located in was evacuated with firefighters ventilating the smoke.
The incident was declared under control at 3:37 pm with the scene handed over to Victoria Police.
Ambulance Victoria also assisted at the scene.
