Firefighters bring Rowville house fire under control

FRV responded to a house fire in Rowville just after 10.30pm on Sunday night, after multiple calls were received by Triple Zero (000).

FRV and CFA crews arrived to the Superior Avenue address within five minutes to find a residence well-alight and threatening neighbouring properties. Crews immediately escalated the response.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus quickly conducted a search of the premises, finding and evacuating two occupants from the home.

Firefighters transferred the patients into the care of Ambulance Victoria paramedics, who transported them to hospital.

The fire was declared under control after 45 mins, with crews remaining on scene overnight to fully extinguish the flames and monitor for any hot spots.

At the height of the fire approximately 35 FRV fire-fighters were in attendance, assisted by CFA crews on scene.

Specialist fire investigators are working alongside Victoria Police to determine the cause of the fire.

CFA, Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria were on scene to support firefighting activities.

A community warning was issued for smoke in the area of Rowville.
