Approximately 40 firefighters responded to a fire at a disused school campus in Sunshine West on Friday afternoon.
FRV crews were called to the Glengala Road incident at 3:50pm, after multiple callers to Triple Zero (000) reported thick smoke coming from a vacant building.
Firefighters arrived on scene in six minutes and wearing breathing apparatus, began an internal attack on the blaze.
Crews brought the fire under control 25 minutes after arriving on scene.
FRV firefighters believed the cause to be suspicious, and handed the scene over to Victoria Police for further investigation.
