Firefighters contain Clayton South house fire

At 6.21pm, Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) responded to an incident on Aonach street, Clayton South, after callers to Triple Zero (000) reported a house fire.

Firefighters arrived on scene to find a single-story weatherboard house fully involved in fire.

Crews in breathing apparatus worked together to attack the blaze, bringing the incident under control at approximately 6.55pm.

Firefighters were able to confirm no individuals were inside the house once the fire was under control.

Crews remained on scene to ensure the safety of the area.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

FRV’s specialist fire investigators will investigate the cause of the fire.

Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria were also in attendance.

A community advice was issued for smoke in the area.
