Firefighters contain a fire at a Sunshine North factory

Over 20 firefighters responded to an incident in Sunshine North just after 7 pm following a call to Triple Zero (000) reporting smoke emitting from a building.

FRV crews were called to the Whitehill Avenue scene and arrived within six minutes to find a large volume of smoke coming from a factory and immediately escalated the response.

Crews, wearing breathing apparatus searched the building to locate the source of the smoke and located a fire in an industrial press.

Firefighters extinguished the fire with fire damage contained to the industrial press.

The factory was cleared of remaining smoke with the incident declared under control at 7:42 pm

Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria also supported at the scene. 

The incident is not deemed as suspicious.
