Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) responded to a roof fire in Kensington early Friday morning.
At 2.29am, FRV responded to a structure fire on Albermarle Street after callers to Triple Zero (000) reported flames coming from the roof.
Firefighters arrived within five minutes to find fire and smoke emanating from the single-storey weatherboard house.
A total of 12 firefighters and five appliances responded to the incident.
Crews immediately conducted an internal attack on the fire and brought it Under Control at 3.15am.
No one was home at the time.
FRV fire investigators will be on scene early Friday morning to determine the cause.
Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria attended in support of our operations.
