FRV crews were called to a shop on fire at Bronson Circuit in Hoppers Crossing after Triple Zero (000) call takers received several calls.

The first FRV crew arrived on scene quickly as fire engulfed the shop sending smoke across the shopping centre.

FRV crews used breathing apparatus and attacked the fire as it quickly spread to two neighbouring shops.

Thick smoke affected many shops in the shopping centre.

The fire was deemed under control by 0430 hrs as crews began the task of total extinguishment and checking for any further fire or smoke extension into the neighbouring shops.

FRV crews confirmed that no-one has been impacted by this fire.

It is not yet known what has started the fire, but it will be investigated by FRV specialist investigators in conjunction with Victoria Police.

Power and Gas companies were on scene assisting FRV with service isolations. Ambulance Victoria was also on scene.
