FRV responded to a structure fire in Strathmore at approximately 6.40pm on Monday evening, after multiple calls were received by Triple Zero (000).
FRV crews arrived to the Mascoma Street address to find the garage of a multi-storey brick residence fully involved in flames. Crews immediately escalated the response.
Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters established hose lines and worked quickly to knock the fire down and prevent it from spreading to adjoining properties.
The fire was declared under control after 15 mins, with crews remaining on scene to fully extinguish the flames and monitor for any hot spots.
Specialist fire investigators are working alongside Victoria Police to determine the cause of the fire.
Ambulance Victoria were also on scene to support firefighting activities. Thankfully no injuries were reported.
