Approximately 30 firefighters responded to a factory fire in Tullamarine on Friday evening.

FRV crews were called to the Catalina Street incident just after 8:20pm, after callers to Triple Zero (000) reported black smoke coming from a building.

Firefighters arrived on scene in five minutes to find the rear of the factory well alight.

Crews worked to gain access to the property, with additional appliances dispatched to assist.

The worked to contain the blaze to two large industrial ovens, before declaring it under control about 45 minutes after they first arrived on scene.

The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental, and FRV worked alongside Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria at the scene.
