FRV crews contain Reservoir unit fire

FRV crews responded to Edwardes Street at around 9:40am following Triple Zero (000) calls reporting a Reservoir unit on fire.

Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes and entered the unit to search for occupants and ensure no one was trapped inside.  

FRV crews located a fire inside the unit and worked to extinguish the blaze and prevent it spreading to adjacent units.

The fire was declared under control three minutes after initial crews arrived on scene.

At the height of the incident there were seven firefighting appliances at the scene.

The scene has been handed to Victoria Police.
