More than 25 firefighters responded to an incident in Albanvale just after 5:15pm on Monday, following reports of a house fire.

Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find a single storey house fully involved in the blaze.

Wearing breathing apparatus, crews conducted a search of the house to ensure no one was trapped inside.

Firefighters then began to attack the fire and prevent it from spreading to a neighbouring property. The fire was brought under control at 5:50pm, 30 minutes after first crews arrived at the scene.

Three patients were treated by Ambulance Victoria paramedics and transported to hospital.
