More than 30 FRV firefighters responded to an incident in Braybrook late on Wednesday night, following multiple calls to Triple Zero (000) reporting a house fire.
Crews arrived at the Darnley Street scene within four minutes to find the rear of single-storey house well alight and quickly escalated the response.
Donning breathing apparatus, firefighters conducted a search of the home and once all occupants were accounted for, began an attack on the flames.
The incident was deemed under control within 30 minutes, at approximately 12:25am on Thursday morning.
Ambulance Victoria and Victoria Police were also on scene assisting with operations.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
