Firefighters quick to scene of Broadmeadows house fire

Approximately 22 firefighters responded to a house fire in Broadmeadows on Wednesday morning.

Multiple callers to Triple Zero (000) reported smoke and flames coming from the house on Walsh Street at 5:56am.

FRV crews arrived on scene in three minutes to find the house fully engulfed and wearing breathing apparatus, aggressively attacked the blaze.

Fortunately the occupants had evacuated prior to firefighters’ arrival.

Firefighters brought the fire under control within 25 minutes, and specialist FRV fire investigators are on scene to determine the cause.

One person was transferred into the care of Ambulance Victoria paramedics.

A community warning has been issued for smoke in the area.

FRV crews worked alongside Victoria Police at the scene.
