Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) crews responded to a house fire in Robinsons Road, Deer Park about 2am this morning following multiple calls to Triple Zero (000).
Firefighters arrived in less than four minutes to find a fire in a front room on the ground floor of a double storey brick veneer house.
Firefighters in breathing apparatus worked quickly to contain the fire and stop it spreading. Crews were able to contain the blaze to a single room in the home.
An adjoining house received some external damage from the blaze.
An occupant of the home was able to evacuate safely. No injuries have been reported.
The fire was declared under control at 02:12am, 12 minutes after firefighters arrived on scene.
The cause of the fire will be investigated.
