Firefighters quick on scene to Springvale South house fire

FRV responded to a house fire in Springvale South just before 5:30pm on Thursday evening.

An initial FRV crew arrived on scene within four minutes to find a two storey house fully ablaze, with flames issuing from the roof of the building.

Firefighters escalated the response, calling for further crews including an aerial unit to assist.

Firefighters began to attack the fire, bringing it under control within 25 minutes of arriving on scene.

FRV remain on site for some time to ensure the fire is fully extinguished and FRV’s Fire Investigation Unit will investigate the cause of the fire.

At the height of the incident nine FRV appliances were on scene, as well as 35 FRV firefighters.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
