Firefighters work quickly to control Kings Park garage fire

Approximately 24 firefighters responded to a garage fire that was threatening nearby buildings in Kings Park on Monday night.

Multiple callers to Triple Zero (000) reported the fire on Gum Road around 5:45pm.

FRV crews arrived on scene within five minutes to find the garage fully alight.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters worked quickly to prevent the fire spreading to an adjoining property, and brought the blaze under control 19 minutes after arriving on scene.

Specialist firefighters are working to determine the cause, and crews will remain on scene throughout the evening to monitor and check for hotspots.
