More than 17 FRV firefighters responded to a fire on Fitzroy Street in St Kilda just after 7.20am this morning, following multiple calls to Triple Zero (000).
FRV crews arrived on scene within six minutes to find a fire outside a shop front.
Crews worked quickly to extinguish the fire and make the scene safe.
Firefighters declared the fire under control within eight minutes of arrival.
Residents from neighbouring buildings self evacuated and thankfully no injuries were reported.
The fire is being treated as suspicious and Victoria Police are investigating.
