Twelve FRV firefighters responded to a fire at a Truganina prison on Monday afternoon.
A caller to Triple Zero (000) reported a fire at the Dohertys Road address just after 2pm on Monday afternoon.
Firefighters arrived on scene to find a fire in a cell.
Firefighters brought the fire under control by 2.15pm.
One person was treated by Ambulance Victoria.
