More than 20 FRV firefighters responded to a garage fire in Carnegie on Saturday night.
A caller to Triple Zero (000) reported the fire just before 10.20pm and firefighters arrived at the Moonya Road address within six minutes.
Upon arrival, firefighters found two cars parked in a garage were fully alight, with the fire also impacting a unit attached to the garage.
Firefighters worked quickly to contain the fire, which they brought under control with 50 minutes.
The occupants of a house adjoining the garage safely evacuated during the incident and thankfully nobody was injured.
FRV’s Specialist Fire Investigators and Victoria Police are investigating the cause of the fire and Glen Eira City Council building surveyors will assess the site for structural damage.
