Firefighters respond to South Yarra apartment fire

Firefighters responded to an apartment fire in South Yarra on Friday night.

FRV crews were called to the Kensington Road incident at 10:30 pm after a call to Triple Zero (000).

Firefighters arrived on scene in six minutes to find flames emitting from the roof of a two storey apartment.

Wearing breathing apparatus, crews attacked the fire, bringing the incident under control at 11:12 pm.

The scene was then handed over to Victoria Police.

Ambulance Victoria and a power company also attended the scene.
