Firefighters responded to a hazardous material incident in Pakenham on Thursday 26 January, following a Triple Zero (000) call reporting smoke issuing from a shipping container shortly after 6.40pm.
On arrival, firefighters found fumes emanating from the shipping container which then caught fire.
Firefighters brought the fire under control in around 10-15 minutes and completed clean-up activities at the industrial premises the following morning.
Work Safe has been notified.
Five FRV appliances attended the incident with support from CFA.
Victoria Police, Ambulance Victoria and EPA Victoria also attended.
An advice notice was issued to the community.
