Firefighters respond to Mentone helicopter incident

Fire Rescue Victoria responded to a helicopter incident following calls to Triple Zero (000) just after 1pm today.

Crews arrived at the Mentone scene within 4 minutes to find a helicopter had crashed into a house.

No one was at home during the time of the incident and the occupant will be temporarily relocated.

We worked to make the scene safe including extricating the pilot, who is now under the care of Ambulance Victoria.
