Firefighters on scene of Point Cook truck and car crash

Approximately 18 firefighters responded to a crash in Point Cook on Thursday afternoon.

FRV crews were called to the incident on the Princes Freeway after multiple callers to Triple Zero (000) reported a crash between a truck and a car.

Firefighters arrived on scene in eight minutes and worked alongside CFA crews to make the scene safe.

Two people were transferred into the care of Ambulance Victoria paramedics, and firefighters remained on scene to ensure it was safe and assist to remove the vehicles.

Victoria Police are investigating the cause of the crash.

Traffic in the area was severely disrupted and VicRoads were on scene managing traffic flow.
