More than 30 FRV firefighters swiftly responded to a house fire in Footscray on Saturday night.
The fire was reported to Triple Zero at 11.49pm and crews arrived at the Ryan Street scene within four minutes.
Upon arrival, crews found the single storey weatherboard home, which was eight metres by 12 metres, was fully involved in fire and burning quickly.
Crews immediately escalated the response.
Firefighters worked together to attack the fire and prevent it from spreading to adjoining properties.
Wearing breathing apparatus, crews also conducted a search of the premise, finding no occupants.
Firefighters brought the fire under control at 12.13am, successfully containing it to the building of origin.
The fire had reached the roof space of the property, and crews remained on scene for several more hours to fully extinguish the blaze, including remaining hot spots.
The fire has been deemed suspicious and Victoria Police will investigate.
Ambulance Victoria and Victoria Police attended the scene to assist FRV's operations.
