Firefighters tackle Caroline Springs house fire

FRV firefighters responded to a house fire in Caroline Springs this afternoon following reports of smoke issuing from a house.

Crews were called to the blaze on Marino Lane at 3.15pm and arrived on scene to find a single storey brick house well alight.

Firefighters donned breathing apparatus to conduct a search of the property but no occupants were inside.

FRV crews, alongside CFA, worked to extinguish the blaze and the scene was deemed Under Control at 3.54pm.

The house sustained significant damage as a result of the fire.

Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria were on the scene.

The power and gas companies have been notified.
