Triple 000 call takers have received several calls for a caravan and house on fire in Croydon this afternoon.

Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) crews were on scene very quickly to find a caravan fully involved in fire and spreading to the house, prompting an escalated response.

The fire also involved trees and an adjoining fence as FRV crews donned breathing apparatus and began to attack the fire.

All occupants were accounted for, with the fire deemed under control within 20 minutes of the first FRV trucks arriving on scene.

It is not yet known what the cause of the fire was, and it will be investigated by specialist fire investigators.

Both power and gas companies were on scene isolating services to the property.

Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria also attended.
