Fire Recue Victoria (FRV) responded to a building fire in Glenroy shortly before 8pm, on Friday 19 December 2025 following calls to Triple Zero (000) reporting a house fire.
Firefighters arrived on scene in 5 minutes to find double storey townhouse fully alight.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus attacked the fire whilst also protecting townhouses on either side that were under threat from the inferno, entering the burning home and conducting a search which confirmed no persons were inside.
No injuries have been reported.
The fire was declared under control at 08:36pm, 41 minutes after FRV arrived on scene.
The townhouse has been extensively damaged in the blaze.
FRV crews will remain on scene overnight fully extinguishing the fire.
This incident has been deemed suspicious, and the scene has been handed to Victoria Police.
