Firefighters tackle house fire from the inside

FRV responded to a house fire in St Albans this morning.

30 FRV firefighters were called to the Freda Court incident at 11:23am on Wednesday morning after a caller to Triple Zero (000) reported flames coming from the residential property.

Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find the house fully alight.

Wearing breathing apparatus, crews began attacking the fire internally, bringing it under control within 25 minutes.

One patient was transferred into the care of Ambulance Victoria paramedics.

FRV’s Fire Investigation Unit are investigating the cause of the fire.

At the height of the incident, there were 10 FRV appliances on scene, including five Pumpers, one Rescue Unit and one Aerial Unit.

FRV was supported on scene by Ambulance Victoria and Victoria Police.
