A family of three and their pet dog, evacuated their burning home in Victorking Drive this morning, after being alerted to a fire by their working smoke alarm.
Fire Rescue Victoria firefighters assisted by CFA responded to the incident at 7:44am following multiple calls to Triple Zero (000) reporting a house fire.
The fire started within the theatre room on the ground floor of the two-storey brick veneer home and quickly spread throughout the property.
The entire home has suffered significant fire and smoke damage.
No injuries have been reported.
The family have sourced alternative accommodation.
The local council Building Surveyor is currently in attendance to check the concerning structural integrity of the property.
FRV Firefighters have deemed the cause of the fire as ‘electrical’ in nature.
FRV Firefighters were in attendance throughout the morning to continue fire duties, including extinguishment of hot spots.
