Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) responded to Creekwood Court, Tarneit at 2.21pm after multiple callers to Triple Zero (000) reported a house fire.
Firefighters arrived on scene in five minutes to find a single storey house fully involved in flames and quickly escalated the response.
FRV crews wearing breathing apparatus conducted a primary search of the premises, confirming there were no occupants and then began an external attack on the blaze.
The fire was deemed under control by 2.52pm.
The cause of the fire is not yet known and will be investigated by FRV specialists.
Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria were also on scene.
