Firefighters tackle Tullamarine factory fire

At 11.02am, Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) was called to an incident on Ovata Drive, Tullamarine, following multiple calls to Triple Zero (000).

Firefighters arrived within seven minutes to find a concrete tilt slab factory, 30m x 40m in size, involved in fire.

Approximately 60 firefighters and 15 FRV appliances responded, including two aerial fire trucks. 

Crews in breathing apparatus worked to extinguish the fire, with the incident declared under control at 12.19pm. 

No one was inside the factory at the time and no injuries were reported. 

The incident is under investigation by Victoria Police.
