FRV crews arrived on scene within seven minutes and were met with a fire that had taken hold at the rear of a building.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters entered the building and worked quickly to knock the fire down.

The incident was declared under control just before 4pm and was contained to the roof of a kitchen.

The building was heavily smoke logged and crews worked together to ventilate the property.

Staff assisted emergency services with moving occupants to a safe area as a precaution.

At the height of the incident there were two FRV appliances on scene, including an aerial platform.

FRV crews worked alongside CFA units who assisted with the response.
