Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) crews responded to a residential unit on fire at Riley Court in Braybrook this afternoon following multiple calls to Triple Zero (000).
Crews arrived on scene to find the single storey concrete unit fully ablaze, so additional resources were called for.
FRV crews donned breathing apparatus and began an internal attack on the fire, as well as protecting a second unit at the property from the flames.
Firefighters searched both homes and confirmed no persons were inside.
The fire was deemed under control at 4.34pm, 40 minutes after FRV arrived on scene.
The residential unit has been severely damaged in the fire.
The cause of the fire is not yet known but it will be investigated by FRV fire investigators.
Firefighters will remain on scene for some time, to ensure the fire is fully extinguished.
