FRV brings Reservoir house fire under control

Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) crews responded to a garage fire in Reservoir this morning following several calls to Triple Zero (000) around 3am.

Crews arrived on scene within five minutes to find a garage well alight and threatening adjoining units, so the response was escalated.

FRV crews donned breathing apparatus and began an external attack on the fire from the front while making access to the units to conduct searches.

The fire was deemed under control by 3.29am.

Thorough searches were conducted of two units with all evacuees safe and being assessed by Ambulance Victoria.

The cause of the fire is not yet known but it will be investigated by FRV specialists.

Firefighters will remain on scene for some time, to ensure the fire is fully extinguished.

Ambulance Victoria and Victoria Police were on scene assisting.
