FRV crews attack Box Hill house blaze

Approximately 30 FRV firefighters responded to a house fire in Box Hill at 7:30 am on Tuesday morning following a call to Triple Zero (000).

Firefighters arrived at the Alexander Street scene within six minutes to find a single storey house involved in flames.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters attacked the blaze, working quickly to contain the fire to a bedroom and ceiling space of the home.

One resident with lower body injuries was treated at the scene by Ambulance Victoria and transported to hospital.

The incident was declared under control at 7:44 am with FRV fire investigators attending to determine the cause of the fire.
