FRV crews responded to a fire in Parkville at 12:30 am following several calls to Triple Zero (000)
Firefighters arrived to the William Street scene to find an external fire at a three storey nursing home.
Crews immediately escalated the response due to the large amount of smoke being generated by the fire.
The fire was extinguished quickly however a lot of smoke had entered the building which required ventilation.
All occupants were evacuated quickly as the smoke was presenting a significant danger.
Thankfully there were no injuries reported and the incident was declared under control at 12:40 am.
Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria also attended the scene to assist with the
evacuation.
