FRV crews attack unit blaze in Meadow Heights

FRV crews responded to a fire in Meadow Heights following a call to Triple Zero (000) just before 6:30 pm on Thursday night.

Firefighters arrived to the McNichol Close scene to find a unit fire with one unit engulfed in the blaze and flames spreading to a second unit and immediately escalated the response.

Wearing breathing apparatus, crews established firefighting lines to attack the blaze and contain the fire with the incident declared under control at 6:58 pm.

One of the units has been destroyed by the fire.

Firefighters conducted a search of the building with no occupants found on the premises and no reports of injury.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
