FRV crews battle house fire in St Albans

Fire Rescue Victoria firefighters were called to St Albans just before 3.15am, following multiple reports of a house fire on Lester Avenue.

Crews arrived on scene within six minutes to find the house engulfed in flames.

More than 20 firefighters battled the fire, bringing it under control within 20 minutes.

One occupant was at home at the time of the incident. Thankfully no one was injured.

At the height of the incident there were seven firefighting appliances on scene, including five Pumpers, one Rescue Unit and one Aerial Unit.

Crews remained on scene to ensure all hot spots were extinguished, and FRV Fire Investigators will attend the scene today to probe the cause.

Ambulance Victoria and Victoria Police also attended.
