Crews responded in under 5 minutes following a sprinkler alarm activation and quickly escalated the response once on scene to find smoke issuing from the front of the building.
Thankfully there were no injuries, with all workers having evacuated safely prior to FRV’s arrival.
Equipped with breathing apparatus, firefighters begun working their way through the 120mX20m structure, locating an 8m forging press containing a significant amount of oil which had ignited.
Three Pumpers, a Teleboom and a Rescue appliance were critical in getting the scene under control and were assisted by support vehicles.
