FRV crews contain Glen Waverley unit fire

Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) responded to several Triple Zero (000) calls of a unit fire in Boyanna Road, Glen Waverley this evening.

Crews arrived on scene within four minutes to find the unit heavily involved in fire so the response was escalated.

FRV crews wore breathing apparatus and to attack the fire and prevent it spreading to adjoining units.

All occupants safely evacuated and will be assessed by Ambulance Victoria.

The fire was deemed under control by 6.56pm and was contained to the kitchen and lounge areas.

The cause of the fire is not yet known but it will be investigated by FRV specialists.

Firefighters will remain on scene to ensure the fire is fully extinguished.
