FRV crews contain grassfire near Tarneit school

More than 10 FRV firefighters contained a grass and scrub fire near a Tarneit primary school on Friday evening.

A caller to Triple Zero (000) reported the fire just after 6.15pm and FRV crews arrived at the Isabella Way scene within seven minutes.

Upon arrival, crews found a grass and scrub fire that was 30 metres by 100 metres in size.

Crews worked quickly to attack the fire, bringing it under control just before 6.30pm.

Crews remained on scene until the fire was fully extinguished, before handing the scene to Victoria Police.

The fire is believed to be suspicious.

FRV crews were supported by the CFA at the scene.
