Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) responded to a house fire at Mica Court in Kings Park this morning after multiple calls were made to Triple Zero.

Firefighters arrived to find a single storey brick veneer home totally involved in fire.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus attacked the fire with an aggressive external attack to bring the blaze under control and stop it spreading to neighbouring homes under threat.

The house has been extensively damaged in the fire but, through their quick work, firefighters were able to contain the fire to the one house.

The fire was declared under control at 11.19am, 56 minutes after FRV firefighters arrived on scene.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.

Firefighters remained on scene for several hours to fully extinguish the fire and the cause is being investigated.
