FRV crews quickly respond to Box Hill apartment block fire

Firefighters and Victoria Police officers evacuated more than 200 people from a Box Hill apartment block on 21 May.

Callers to Triple Zero reported the fire in the 30-storey apartment block at 7.20am.

Crews arrived at the Whitehorse Road scene within four minutes.

Wearing breathing apparatus, crews entered the property and located the fire.

Crews brought the scene under control within half an hour.

Firefighters remained on scene to clear the apartments of smoke.

Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria personnel were also on scene.
