FRV crews respond to house fire at Collingwood

At 9.48am, multiple calls were received for a house fire in Collingwood, involving a double storey house of brick and timber construction with smoke issuing from the roof. 

FRV crews were quickly on scene within five minutes. 

Crews worked using breathing apparatus to bring the fire under control within 20 minutes. 

Firefighters conducted some salvage and overhaul and checking for any fire extension throughout the building. 

One fire truck will be left on scene to monitor the event.
