FRV crews respond to multiple fires in Windsor

Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) crews responded to multiple fires in Peel St, Windsor following a single call to Triple Zero.

Crews were dispatched to a duplex dwelling with flames issuing from the roof, arriving on scene within three minutes.

Crews enroute reported an additional car fire and rubbish bin fire within 70 metres of the affected home.

Wearing beathing apparatus, firefighters worked to extinguish the multiple fires, bringing the three incidents under control within 30 minutes.

The fire in the duplex was contained to the roof space of the affected dwelling, the second half of the building was not impacted by fire.

The occupant was not at home at the time of the incident.

The neighbours evacuated prior to brigade arrival but were able to return to their home.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire has been deemed suspicious.

Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria were on scene to support firefighting activities.

Firefighters remained on scene for some time to ensure the fire was fully extinguished.
