FRV crews respond to large house fire in Braybrook

More than 25 firefighters responded to a significant house fire in Braybrook in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Crews arrived at the Melrose Street address just before 1.25am, after several callers to Triple Zero (000) reported seeing flames at the house.

Upon arrival, crews found the single storey brick house was well alight and the fire fully involved.

Crews immediately escalated the response.

Wearing breathing apparatus, crews conducted an internal search of the property, finding nobody was inside.

Crews worked quickly to contain and knock down the flames, including by using an aerial appliance.

Firefighters brought the fire under control just before 2.35am.

FRV crews remain on scene extinguishing remaining hot spots.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.

Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria also attended the scene.
