FRV responds to Bentleigh house fire

At 10.55am, Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) was called to an incident on Sandra Grove at Bentleigh after multiple calls to Triple Zero (000) reported a house fire.

The response was escalated and firefighters arrived on scene at 11.00am to find a 20m x 20m single storey brick and tile house fully alight with flames through the roof.

Firefighters used breathing apparatus and conducted an external attack on the fire.

The fire extended into the entire roof, which collapsed.

All occupants were accounted for and the power and gas supplies were isolated.

The fire was deemed Under Control at 11.38am.

Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria were on the scene.

One person was treated by Ambulance Victoria.

A community warning was issued for smoke in the area.
