FRV tackles Kealba house fire

At 12.44pm today, Fire Rescue Victoria responded to an incident in Rowan Drive, Kealba, after multiple Triple Zero (000) callers advised that smoke and flames were issuing from a two-storey house.

Additional firefighting appliances were despatched in response to this information.

FRV were quickly on scene to find the brick house fully involved in fire.

A Community Advice was issued for smoke in the area.

It took FRV Firefighters 1 hour to bring the fire under control.

The family home has been extensively damaged by fire, and the local council building surveyor has been requested to address the structural integrity of the property.

Another 3 houses located nearby have been minimally impacted by the spread of fire.

FRV will be remaining on scene for several hours to continue to extinguish and manage the fire scene.

The cause of the fire is currently being determined
